Despite her journalism career taking her all over the globe, Heather Ewart finds herself back at her childhood country roots as a creator and the host of the popular television series, Backroads which features weekly on ABC.

The upcoming winter series will be Heather’s final, marking 10 years of adventure through rural Australia, taking us to places that most of us wouldn’t even know existed.

Heather has a natural and effortless ability to connect with all types of people to give us insight into what makes them tick and their personal experience and connection to country living.

Country living is not for the faint-hearted – towns, their people and their industry must adapt and evolve to suit the current climate both environmentally and economically.
